Learn a trick
Poi Tricks; How to do a float or floater.
This is sort of a stall/isolation in the sense that the direction of the poi is stopped in its spin and then it is brought straight up, isolating on a vertical line.
Image your arm is making part of a “U” shape. This should be the path that your arm follows.

Imagine you are standing in a cube, you are the center. You have 4 upper points and 4 lower points. Now take your poi and stall to each one of the points from every one of the points, playing with all variations. Thats stalling poi in an invisible cube.
