Poi Tricks; How to do spiral wraps.

This is typically a same direction split time trick. It can be performed in many different planes, the most common would be in the wall plane in front of your body. As you wrap, remember that when you come out, the poi will be going the opposite direction they started in,

Split time butterfly variations

Here are a few different tricks you can do from a split time butterfly. Bringing the poi to your sides and behind your back as well as over your shoulders. See where you can spin a split time butterfly.

The isolation game

Pretty silly, but will give you some entertainment for about a minute. Will help to teach you how to do an isolation….maybe. Enjoy.

Shorten your poi while spinning

How to change the length of the poi while you are spinning. It is often necessary to change the length of your poi as you are spinning so that you can do certain moves, like a buzzsaw for instance. If your poi are too long and you bring them up inside your arms, you have a good chance of whacking yourself in the face. Learn to shorten as you spin.
